    The Licensed Clinical Counselor for the Open Doors Program provides in-depth clinical assessment and treatment of individuals and families who are victims/survivors of sexual exploitation and trafficking. In addition to partnering with the Regional Services Advocate and Survivor Mentors to support the provision of immediate crisis intervention, the Clinical Counselor identifies and assesses needs; plans, coordinates and provides necessary services and treatment; and counsels individuals and families, using such activities as delineating alternatives, articulating goals and providing individual, family and group therapy.

    Provide in-depth clinical assessment and treatment of individuals and families who are victims/survivors of sexual exploitation and trafficking.

    • Facilitate crisis intervention care, as needed, to support survivor/victim immediate needs in collaboration with the Regional Service Advocate and Survivor Mentors.
    • Develop and implement individual care management plans.
    • Provide clinical and supportive counseling services; individual, group and family therapy, in CHS office/facility, client home and/or school community as necessary.
    • Make collateral contacts to assess client progress and functioning; oversee behavioral program or treatment interventions associated with the client’s care management/treatment plan.
    • Document and report to referral providers (as appropriate) in accordance with treatment goals.
    • Participate on multidisciplinary teams to prepare client cases for proper care.
    • Train direct care team members regarding components of the individualized treatment plan, when necessary.
    • Develop and maintain clinical records and program documentation according to contract and CHS standards (assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, termination summaries, etc.).
    • Generate and maintain necessary reports and paperwork in a timely manner.
    • Meet established program productivity goals while upholding the CHS standard of care.
    • Train team members as needed to ensure interventions meet the needs of the survivors/victims.
    • Complete documentation in a timely manner as required by the program, funding contract requirements, courts and referral sources.
    • Provide on-call support as required or scheduled.



    • Master's Degree in Social Work or comparable human services field, required
    • Professional Florida license in Mental Health (LMHC), Clinical Social Work (LCSW), or Psychology, required
    • Three years of post-Bachelor’s experience working with at-risk children and families, required
    • Experience with sexual abuse, exploitation, trauma and/or trafficking, required
