    As an Organizational Development & Learning (ODL) Specialist you will assist in the development and execution of programs, tools and solutions that help CHS be equipped to meet its strategic talent goals and operational objectives.  The incumbent provides support to efforts related to talent management, leadership development, organizational development and change management that enhance CHS’s overall effectiveness and capability.

    • Support the development and delivery of a comprehensive ODL program, to include talent management, leadership development, organizational development and change management that enhances the professional growth, effectiveness and capability of team members and contributes to the achievement of CHS’s business goals.
    • Coordinate logistics for remote/virtual events, meetings and training for internal and external vendor-driven programs.
    • Prepare for instructor-led training sessions by organizing participant lists, supplies, and other materials, as well as manage material reproduction and collation.
    • Maintain and update materials (job aids, standard operating procedures (SOPs), course outlines, presentation materials, handouts, communications, participant guides, leader guides, etc.) to provide a seamless experience for learners.
    • Create communications on behalf of team to inform and engage, initiate and follow up on survey completions, and sustain engagement and utilization of best practices and tools associated with each program or initiative.
    • Administer events and activities as needed in Outlook, the intranet and other online platforms.
    • Support the development and implementation of internal communication plans, including assessment material, summary reports, action planning toolkits, etc.
    • Help manage feedback and coaching program for middle managers to coincide with leadership development and succession
    • Support the ODL Manager with the design and development of scalable solutions that align to our cuture and strategy, assisting in defining scope and requirements, as well as in developing and maintaining project plans.



    • Planning, organization, project management, oral/written communication.
    • Interpersonal relationship building, collaboration and teamwork.
    • Various learning management and other HRIS; MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
    • Perform under strong demands in fast-paced, diverse, sometimes ambiguous environments.
    • Perform at a high level of autonomy, with general supervision.
    • Handle highly stressful, sensitive situations; maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
    • Meet critical deadlines, while maintaining attention to detail, accuracy and quality.
    • Synthesize large amounts of data and create focus on key priorities related to organizational objectives.

    • Be energetic, passionate, and adaptable with a deep commitment to social service, empathy for children and families and a positive approach to embracing and managing change



    • Bachelor's degree in, Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development or related field from an accredited university required.
    • Certification in Human Resources or Learning (SHRM-CP, PHR, CLP, etc.) preferred
    • One to two years of experience in human resources, organizational development, or training required, preferably in nonprofit or social services, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Exposure to high potential leadership development programs, a plus.
