    As a Home Visitor for the Healthy Families Program you will provide support and assistance to optimize the home environment for the physical, mental, and emotional well being of children who are at risk of being abused and neglected. Home Visitors will empower families to function successfully by assiting in strengthening the parent- child relationship by improving parenting skills, reducing family stress and meeting needs of parents that promote the health grow and development of their children. 




    • Establish a trusting relationship with ar risk families by initiating and maintaining regular client contact
      • Provide one to one support to families through intensive home visitation and group faciliation, enhanced case management services. 
      • Conduct  home visits upon leveling of the families and maintain a minimum of 80% completed home visits for active clients as required
      • Transport clients, when necessary, to medical appointments, other social service agencies, parent leadership meetings or for emergency services 
    • Assist in strengthening parent-child interaction by teaching positive parenting skills and age-appropriate discipline options
      • Administer education developmentally focused home visit lessons and activities 
    • Create and maintain client case records and document activities as required by program
      • Perform data entry into applicable databases in a timely and accurate manner
      • Develop comprehensive Family Goal Plans for each client that clearly identifies goals, objectives, and service needs. 
    • Perform all  job functions as set forth by the Healthy Families Florida contractual requirements to ensure the delivery of quality services
    • Contribute to an engaging, positive work environment 



    • Associate's Degree OR Bachelor's Degree in Child Development, Education, or Social Sciences
    • With an Associate's Degree, two years experience working with young children and families in a human services or early childhood education setting
    • With a Bachelor’s degree, one year experience working with young children and families in a human services or early childhood education setting
    • Bilingual in speaking Spanish preferred
